What we do

Health Research

Health Research

Biomedical health research is at the heart of the BioMed Alliance’s mission. With its Health Research Committee, the Alliance monitors EU Health research policy and related policies, informs its members about developments, provides a platform for discussions and conveys the position of members to policymakers and stakeholders. We strive to address bottlenecks and call for more support and coordination health research.
Education

Education

Continuing medical education (CME) provided by medical societies is essential for healthcare professionals to keep track of the latest developments in healthcare and provide the best possible care to their patients. Members of the Education committee tap into the complexity of the European system for guaranteeing the quality of CME. They study and discuss this important topic and aim to enhance the quality of CME now and in the future. The Education Committee also addresses other important issues such as those related to the harmonisation of medical education training across the EU.
Regulatory Affairs

Regulatory Affairs

The EU health agenda is rapidly expanding, with a growing number of regulatory files overlapping and increasingly relying on input from healthcare professionals and researchers for effective implementation. BioMed Alliance acts as a common voice for the whole profession to provide collective input and contribute to evidence-based policy making on a broad range of regulatory files. Areas where the BioMed Alliance is active include health data sharing, Health Technology Assessment, clinical trials and the evaluation of medical devices, IVDs and medicines.
