Press release calls for urgent measures to improve the availability of essential medical devices ahead of EPSCO meeting (November 2022)

BioMed Alliance published a press release ahead of the EPSCO meeting on 9 December 2022 calling for a variety of measures to mitigate a shortage of medical devices. Recommended steps include an extension of the MDR transition period, measures to advance with the MDR implementation, and a greater role for Medical Devices Expert Panels, registries and conditional approval.
