BeWell
BioMed Alliance is a partner in the Erasmus+ funded project BeWell, the Blueprint alliance for a future health workforce strategy on digital and green skills.

The project brought together a wide range of European health associations and organisations including healthcare professional organisations, universities, industry and others.
It aimed to develop a green and digital skills strategy between 2022 and 2026 and more information on its activities is available here.
BeWell aimed to help transform the healthcare sector in the EU and improve sustainability by:
- Developing skills intelligence on the digital and green skills needs of the health workforce
- Establishing the first Blueprint Alliance for the health ecosystem to create a skills strategy to be implemented at a local, regional, national, and ultimately European level though the Pact for Skills
- Launching a large-scale skills partnership under the Pact for Skills initiative.
- Developing and implementing a pilot training programme on digital and green skills in the healthcare sector and for emerging occupational profiles.
Achievements of the BeWell project
- Launch of the BeWell Skills Strategy Online Public Consultation: in June 2024, the BeWell partners launched an online public consultation to gather feedback on the updated BeWell Skills Strategy. This consultation is accessible in nine national languages and is available here.
- Development of Training Programmes in digital and green skills: The project is in the process of building curricula and training programmes targeting all health professionals. The programmes are co-created by universities, VET providers and companies. The training courses have defined learning outcomes in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
- Stakeholder engagement: Organisation of more than 60 in-person and online meetings, events and conferences since mid-2022.
- Development of the BeWell Skills Strategy: as well as ongoing validation of the Strategy on a regular basis.
- Establishment of the Pact for Skills Large-Scale Partnership (LSP) for the health ecosystem.
- Co-creation of the Skills Strategy version 1 with a multistakeholder approach.
