On 28 January, the BioMed Alliance team attended the EU Health Coalition Summit in Brussels. The event brought together the partners of the Coalition to listen on important discussions surrounding the importance of health funding and innovation. The summit addressed critical topics such as competitiveness, ageing, access to care, health security, and sustainability in public health.
During the event, the Health and Animal Welfare Commissioner, Olivér Várhelyi, gave a keynote address, emphasizing the vital role of health in driving Europe’s prosperity and global competitiveness.
The EU Health Coalition is a multi-stakeholder group that brings together organizations from various sectors, including patient groups, medical & research societies and industry representatives. Its goal is to promote a shared vision for a healthier Europe by advocating for policies that improve healthcare systems, drive innovation, and strengthen collaboration across the EU.
